Digital Days 2015

Building on the success of preceding Digital Days events, the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE 669), IATSE 891 and the Directors Guild of Canada BC will be hosting Digital Days 2015. This industry-wide gathering offers the BC film community a rare opportunity to come together for two days of learning and networking around creative, technical and business issues arising with new digital technologies.

CUFF Cinematographers Social with Mark Irwin

The 12th annual Calgary Underground Film Festival welcomes cinematographer Mark Irwin to Calgary as part of this year's four film David Cronenberg retrospective. The ARRI 4K UHD Seminar

Led by ARRI’s Technical Sales Representative, Snehal Patel, this seminar will cover: 4K ProRes recording in AMIRA and ALEXA cameras, the ARRI Color Tool, codecs and compression, ARRI’s new Wireless Lens Control Systems, accessories, screenings of 4K UHD images shot with AMIRA, and hands-on time with AMIRA. Sarah Jones Anniversary

One year ago today IATSE 600 member 2nd AC Sarah Jones was killed in a tragic accident on the set of the film Midnight Rider. Whether you are working today or not, please take a moment to remember Sarah on this anniversary of her death and the significance of that event a year ago in bringing greater awareness for safety to sets across the continent.
