The 12th annual Calgary Underground Film Festival (April 13- 19) is excited to welcome cinematographer Mark Irwin to Calgary as part of this year's four film David Cronenberg retrospective.

Mark Irwin is one of Hollywood’s most sought-after cinematographers, with films like SCREAM, THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY and DUMB AND DUMBER to his credit. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Irwin has worked with David Cronenberg on a number of films.

On April 18th, Mark will be in attendance for a Q & A at the Globe Cinema following THE FLY in our double feature of VIDEODROME (1:45pm) and THE FLY (3:45pm).  Following this Q&A, CUFF is excited to welcome members of Calgary's cinematography community to State & Main (601 8 Ave SW) from 6:00 - 7:30 for a casual, invite only, social event, encouraging conversation about the art of cinematography with Mark, and with other industry leaders working in Calgary.

Please RSVP for this free of charge event before April 16.  The Double Feature is a separately-ticketed event; you can attend Cinematographers Social without attending films. Note: space is limited.
